  SD Authoring – Where does Control.dat come from

  I primarily work with SD authoring, and recently posted a query here to which the answer is no, which lead me to another question which I can’t seem to find the answer and is more of a curiosity. When a DDP is created from whatever program is being used, where does the Control.dat file come from, more specifically, is it contained in any specific VTS, and what does the DDPID do? I’ve been doing this for a few months, and while I know how to do it, I don’t know how much of it actually works. Any insights would be appreciated.
