SD 633: working with poly wav and iso files.
Hi everyone.
I haven’t posted here before but I recognize some familiar names like Ty and Richard C.
So here is my deal. I’ve been trying to figure this out for a few says, even chatted with SD support, but still don’t get it.
It will be easier to tell you what I am looking to end up with I think.
As a new owner of a 633 I will be sending the left/right xlr out from the mixer (at mic level) to my Nikon D800. This will be my scratch track and back up in case of awfulness.
I have the three inputs 1-3, each with a mic. On the mixer, I re-named each channel: Channel 1 = LAV, channel 2= SHOTGUN, and channel three= BOOM.
What I am hoping to achieve, is to be able to import the 633 audio file into FCP X or Logic (preferably FCP X) and be able to see those three seperate tracks with the names I made to identify which track is which. So I’d basically have three audio tracks stacked like you think.
So my first question is this even possible? I have tried wav poly, poly mono. I am thinking maybe I need to set recorder to wav poly iso only. The results I’ve been getting none of my audio files make sense name and structure wise.
I think this is something to do with metadata? If i open the file with Wave Agent the information with my named tracks is there, just not getting over to FCP.
I’ll test importing iso only to FCP, but is there anything you guys can think of I might be overlooking?
Thank you in advance.
