I am trying to get an archiving set up to run on my Dual 2gig G5. I have an adaptec 29160 SCSI card connected to a Quantum DLT LT VS160 drive. System profiler shows the DLT as on the SCSI bus. However it omits the “Q” in quantum. The archiving applications I have do not see the DLT. I have been going around and around with Adaptec and Quantum and Mezzo and everyone’s blaming the other guys. Anyone have any suggestions?

    TIA

We need more info, OS, hardware makeup, ram, drives, software installed, the more information the better.

    Hope this helps-

    I’m running OS X 10.3.9
    2 gigs of ram
    Cards:
    Adaptec 29160
    Apple Fibre Channel
    additional ethernet card
    graphics card

Trying to use this hardware with Mezzo. But neither Mezzo or a trial version of Retrospect sees the drive.
Standard drives. Connect to Xserve and Xserve Raid 2.3T

Adaptec stopped supporting Mac long ago. Get yourself an ATTO card and be happy.
