  • SCSI Drive Media copy/transfer to Firewire drive?

    Hello,

I have yet another daunting question about SCSI Hard Drives.
I have a project with offline media from our assistants copy copy of our media, still there are a few master clips that are offline on our editors main G4.

So, I would like to know what is the best way to retrieve said offline media from the SCSI Drives and transfer the media to a firewire drive?

In theory I believe a firewire to scsi connection would work best. Has anyone done this before and if so how?

    Thanks

The only way to do it is to connect to a computer that has a scsi connection and copy it to a firewire drive. You would need to use a mac.

Not sure if the G4 has firewire, but it certainly has USB. You could use a usb drive as well.
