Scrubbing with Shuttle Pro (Shuttle Express)
I’ve got a Shuttle Express (the baby version of the Shuttle Pro. I actually prefer it. The Pro has too many buttons for me!) It works perfectly on Premiere but I can’t get it to do anything but move the cursor in Vegas. If it is true that Vegas doesn’t have true scrubbing I’m pretty shocked. You really can’t do any professional work without that ability. The ctrl cursor just controls the direction of a constant velocity scrub. It is often necessary to have “to the frame” precision of a sound edit which in the old days was done by moving “mag stock” (perferated celluloid with magnetic coating instead of images)past the sound head on a Moviola. Kinda dates me but without that ability the program is just good enough for home movies.

My Shuttle Pro does audio scrub just fine. To scrub at the frame level, zoom in and use the scrub tool at the top of the timeline cursor.
