Scrubbing Previews
OK,
I haven’t been doing as much motion stuff lately, so I finally get around to doing some work in AE 7 on OS X and I discover two things I can no longer do. I am sure it is a pref somewhere and can’t figure out what. When I move the Current Time Indicator (ie playhead), it no longer scrubs, just updates when I stop. When I change a value (scale, postion, whatever), it no longer previews as I make the change, only once I’m done. Very annoying.
So what’s wrong? Thanks!
Oh yeah, one other big pet peeve with AE7. When I select a range of keys, I get the spinning ball for about twenty seconds while it computes how much money I’ve spent on upgrades since the CoSa days or something. What’s up Adobe, updates should equal better performance, not worse.

click the Live update button, in the timeline window. above all the layers, next to the master switches for motion blur etc etc
