Scrubbing Issue
i’ve been having this issue with Premiere Pro CS6 for quite some time. When I am scrubbing some source material the window is acting fine but when I stop scrubbing, the window continue to scrub, seemingly repeating what I have just done. Similar to a lag. Ive attached a video of this that will better illustrate what I am experiencing. Any thoughts would be so grateful.

Might need to provide some of your system specs and footage specs as well.

Running on a Mac Pro (early 2009)
2 x 2.66 GHz 6 Core Intel Xeon
32 GB ram
NVDIA Quadro 4000 2GB
This happens on any footage I am using. Nothing large (2K +) this is HD or 720.

I think we all run into this problem – even on later versions of PPT. I used to get this on FCP 7 once in a while. I think it’s graphics card issue and computer/RAM issue. Because I never get this problem on my desktop computer, but it occasionally happens on my laptop which isn’t really set up for editing and has a cheap card. Have you tried converting your footage to ProRes? your system might have an easier time working with a less compressed codec then mpeg or h264.

That is why I was inquiring about the file specs as well. Not just the image size, but codec as well. h264 files are very processor intensive to encode/decode.
