  • Scrolling Text for Credits…

Posted by John O’donahue on September 29, 2007 at 1:23 pm

I started using Vegas 7 recently to edit and know how to make text appear on the screen. However, I have no idea how to make it scroll up the left or right sides of the screen for credits!

My premiere is a little less than two weeks away and this is the final touch i need to put on my video, so any answer is greatly appreciated.

When you have the text generated media dialog open, look at the “Positioning” tab. You can make it move any way you want with multiple keyframes.

You can use the scrolling text preset but I find that a bit user unfriendly.

Probably the best way is to use track motion or pan and crop to move your text from off the screen below to off the screen above. The length of your event would control the speed of the scroll.
