Hey guys I thought I was really clever and fixed the problem of not being able to scroll txt or logo’s ‘fairly’ slowly across the screen…

Basically in AE I increased the frame rate to 60 fps and when I played in back as a RAM preview it played back loverly and smooth (and NOT in slow motion)…. suprisingly…

My question is why when I bring this clip into FCP does it strat to make the scroll juddery???

*There must be a way that I can achieve a fairly slow horizontal scroll without it juddering!?….

Ive seen on TV times where I have noticed that the scroll is very smooth and it does not shudder

    a

    Thanks for your time.

Your FCP sequence also has to be 60fps in order to play smoothly in your case.

What I will do is to setup the comp as 30fps, render as 60i in stead of 30p, and edit in FCP as 60i sequence.

On computer screen you may not notice the difference as it is progrssive scanning, viewing on TV its ultra smooth because TV does interlace.

And if those solutions don’t work for you, try reading the stuff at this link: https://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/908/cpsid_90843.html
