    To do what?

I’ve just been playing around with this and the only keyframe control I can find is the basic motion ones, none of them seem to contol the roller, he’s a weird one too, I got to the end of my roller, with the text centre-screen, tried a freeze frame, it just gave me a frame of black.

I have the same keyframe question and freeze frame issue.
Having edited with Avid for many years the one thing I find most disappointing about FCP is its title tool. Very limited when you try to use it beyond rudimentary text. Nonetheless when given a choice (at my at home suite) I go with FCP every time, like Macs in general, a pleasure to use. Anyone else able to tutor this text deficient fool?

    Thanks CG

Scrolling text doesn’t give you any control over speed. It bases it’s timing on how much material it needs to scroll through and how long the clip is in your timeline.

What you can do is either use a basic text element (either in FCP or from PS/Illustrator) and then use the Origin or Position keyframes to move your text.

IIRC the Position keyframes are the only ones that can be “eased in/out” so you may want to use those.

Personally I usually do this kind of stuff in Motion as I feel there is a little more control over the movement as well as being able to “design” more elements in and around the text with near instant feedback.
