Does anyone know how to set up the end credits of a movie where you type in the name and the role then FCP automatically spaces the text for you. I hope that I worded this question right. Thank you in advance for your knowledge.

Much better is to use Boris Title Crawl for all your roll/crawl needs. It’s in your Generators folder. You can use real tabs rather than clunky hacks to get a gutter. You can kern and lead your text. You can also use more than one size and font style. Why would anyone use Scrolling Text is beyond me.
