I’m doing a spoof of one of those song collection cd things where the names of songs scroll up during the video. I know how to make credits at the end. What I tried was adding in a new video track and adding credits over it, but then it covered up the video… so I’m not sure what to do. Thanks in advance.

Did you use the scrolling credits with the alpha background or solid.

Well, I wasn’t really sure what you were talking about… so I went and looked and I found a preset that says “scrolling on transparent”. hah, I sorta feel dumb right now, but hopefully I’ve got it now.
    Thanks 🙂

Put the transparent scrolling text track above your video track, and it should work fine.

If you don’t want to watch a whole tutorial…
    1. Add another Video Track to your project. It will show up at the top, leave it there.
    2. Where ever you want your Credit Roll, insert the Generated Media into the new video layer.
    3. Design you Credit Roll however you like.
    4. In the Credit Roll layout screen, there is a back ground color selector. (in the middle on the bottom) Slide the slider down to where you see a checker board. This makes the layer transparent, except for your Credits.

That’s it. I struggled with this one at one point. The key is that the transparent video track is on top of everything else. Once it’s in the mix, it will block your video as you found out.
