Scripts sync
Posted by Daniel Martinez on July 13, 2007 at 4:02 amHas anyone worked with this, and is it really so smooth to work with, as you see on avid homepage, or does it “stutter up” your workflow (rendering times etc.)?
Thank you.

July 15, 2007 at 8:45 pmThere are no renders with ScriptSync – the process is to synchronize text from a script or transcript to the audio from the dialog in the clips. Once the association is made, it is not but references to the sources from a single interface of all your dailies. Have you watched the flash videos of the process?

—–> It is smooth sail’n, I Love it. I have taken the time to learn everything about script based editing and Avid Script Sync. It’s glorious. I have now used is on a Sundance Official Selection Doc as well as Cutting various types of sitcoms. It is more of a reference, a great way for organization of clips. There is no render, it just syncs picture and script. It takes me less than five minutes to sync hour long interview takes to the transcriptions.
Peace,
