I’ve got gigs and gigs of finished rendered projects as well as source material that clients have sent me. I’d like to find an efficient way to include a “compress and archive” script into my workflow. I rarely need to go back to those sources, but I’m afraid to delete them completely, so I’ve started converting some of my uncompressed mov files to mjpgB, mpeg4 and or Pixlet codecs, then erasing my original.

    1. Can you give me your opinion on your favorite codec to use?
    2. Do you have a workflow that would help me automate the process? Possibly an AE script or applescript? Standalone app? I’m looking for some sort of “batch” processor.

    Thanks!
    -Greg
