    Hi,
I posted to another forum and was told the answer lay in scripting.

I have 100+ short videos that need the same video title sequence and credits added to them.

Is there a way to script After Effects to automatically add the title and credits video clips to a collection of videos, and then put the resulting comps in the render que with a specific render preset?

If so, are there any good tutorials on how to do something like this? Or could some one give me some pointers?

    Thanks.

    Ed.

The good news is that what you want to do is a perfect application for scripting. The bads news is that it’s complicated enough that you’re probably going to have to really learn scripting to do it. I’d guess that someone familiar with scripting could knock this out in half a day or so, but if this is your first script, you should be prepared to spend some serious time on it.

There are a lot of example scripts out there that will show you how to do various pieces of it, but you’ll have to stitch the pieces together and get it to work. I’d suggest that you start by downloading the latest version of the After Effects scripting guide and check it out.

I don’t mean to scare you away – it’s definitely do-able, just not trivial. Come back with specific questions as you run into problems.
