Scripting in Media100 HD.
I am trying to write a script to copy the “comments” field of a clip to the “name” field of the same clip for an entire bin. I thought this would be easy, but I haven’t gotten it working yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Media100 12.1.3/PPC/10.4.11

The script basically should look like this:
“tell application “Media 100 Producer”
activate
repeat with i from 1 to the number of clips in the front bin
set name of clip i of front bin to (comments of clip i of front bin as text)
end repeat
end tell
”It seems like Media 100 for some reason does shorten the clip name more than necessary, though. Not sure what happens there; maybe I have time to look into this in more detail later.

Thanks for the quick response. That worked perfectly. I was missing the part “as text”. That was a huge help!
