Ive downloaded Wax. I read in the read-me file that RAM preview needs to be turned off, but im not sure how to do this. Im fairly new to Vegas. I can see the plugins and can use them but as i add the transitions for example, it says i need to run scripting. Im not sure how to do that. please help!

[Crusty] “I read in the read-me file that RAM preview needs to be turned off”

Options – Preferences – Video tab – change the “Dynamic RAM preview” size to ZERO.

    Thanx Ed,

I was able to change the RAM preview to zero. I think that somthing in addition needs to be done as well however. When I add a WAX transition and then try to view it on my time line I get a pop-up that reads,

“unable to find video event length. If you are running Vegas 4 or above, please check if you can run scripts because WAX needs that ability.”

    How might this be remedied?

    Thanx again!

    Was an event selected?

Personally, I’ve never used Wax. I’ve heard many people have success using it but I’ve heard many more having problems. You might try using Wax in standalone mode instead.

For better support on Wax, you might try the debugmode support area:

Ed what are some plugins you would recommend that are reliable and look? All i was looking for were some good glass shattering transition effects.

    Thanks again for your help!

You can see if that effect is included in this previous version:
