Hello,
I am rendering a high volume of clips daily, and every clip I render under a specific .mp4 template requires the file name have “_L” at the end.
Is there a way to create a script that will be triggered by selecting a specific render template which will then add characters to a file name?

Not exactly. Scripts can control rendering but they can’t be triggered by rendering. You could modify the batch render script that comes with Vegas to add anything you want to the filename.
