  • Script to set crossfade at constant value for all events

    Is there a standalone script out there which would automatically set all selected (or all) timeline events to one constant amount? It would save me alot of time. Thanks

    Absolutely – one of many free scripts on my site:

    Thank you for your reply. I asked the question incorrectly. I’d like to set all the crossfade transitions – or all transitions for that matter to a constant value – is there a script for that?

    Here’s one choice:

    To be honest, though, it’s easier to just get a full featured product like Excalibur that can do both of those tasks and a whole lot more with more features than you’ll find in the typical free offerings.

    Thanks. I’ll consider it. Where can I read about all its features?

    Also, in running even the simplest script like

    import System.Windows.Forms;
    import Sony.Vegas;
    MessageBox.Show(“Vegas.Version: ” + Vegas.Version);

    I get a messy message. I have Java runtime 1.4.2 and I think I have .Net running (though I don’t know how to check). Here’s the message. What’s wrong?

    Excalibur info can be found here: https://www.jetdv.com/excalibur

    What version of Vegas are you running?

    Java makes no difference. The version of .NET you should install in .NET 1.1 SP 1.
