  • Script to delete from cursor to event’s end?

Posted by Dale Mcclelland on February 23, 2011 at 10:10 pm

There is a free script that deletes a timeline event from the cursor position to the beginning of the event. It is named “Delete From Cursor To Event Start.js”. I have that script. I would also find it useful to have one that deletes from the cursor position to the end of the event. Is there one floating around? I have searched the forums and the net but haven’t found one that does the same thing as the existing script except that it would delete to the end instead of from the beginning.

My intention would be to use such a script for trimming the end of events. I think it would take less time than using the mouse to drag the event’s right-hand edge to the left until it reaches the cursor position.

    Thanks.

No need for a script. Just press the ‘S’ key to split the event and then the Delete key to remove the part you just split.

Thanks, John. I just tried it and I agree — split/delete is as easy, or easier than, using a script.
