Script Error in Vegas 12 Files
I cannot seem to get the Vegas pro 12 Help Files to operate correctly. I always get a script error whenever I open the Help Files. This is a fairly new issue – I think this may have started after the November 2013 software upgrade. Vegas also seems to run somewhat slower…
In addition to the above issue I would like advice on whether or not I should install Windows 8.1 or perhaps even abandon Windows 8 64 bitball together and use Windows 7 64 bit instead…?

My guess is that you are missing a component in Windows. CHM files are the windows standard help file format. Double click on any .chm file (they are all over the system disk) and it should open the help dialogue. If you can’t open any .chm file then you may need to reinstall the OS.
I can’t comment on Win8 because I will not install it on any of my PCs.
