screen won’t update while scrubbing
I’ve inadvertently hit some sort of key combination and I’ve lost the ability to see my Comp window update as I scrub the Time bar. I’ve checked my prefs, looked in the Help and can’t find where to get it back (it reacts like 4.1 – it updates if I hold down the Option key). I hope someone remembers… it’s annoying…

Try toggling the “Live Update” button which is located at the top of Timeline Window.
Next to the Draft 3d button and then a group of three other buttons (Hide Shy layers,enable frame blending,enable motion blur)The other place to try may be the fast previews button at the bottom of the comp window. third button from the right.

The “Live Update” button was the culprit… I’m back to normal now.
