screen blanks when fast forwarding
Lately (past two weeks) whenever I fast forward in the preview window my screen goes black. I can hear the playback audio and when I left-click the mouse the screen comes back. Yesterday, while editing a movie, this happened every time I fast forwarded. After four times, I finished editing the movie without fast forwarding… just clicking on the time line.
Any ideas?

It sounds like you have full ram preview switched off under your preferences, make sure the preview is set to opengl.

turns out it’s not a Premiere problem… occurred Tuesday while opening email and Premiere was closed… edited short clip in Premiere last night and had no problem fast forwarding…
I’ll let you know when I figure it out… thank you.
