Scratch Removal and Clone Tools
Just wanted to check with the list what is the best method of Scratch Removal in FCP and Motion. These tools are obviously very important for finishing certain jobs… sorry to reawaken this topic but I still don’t feel clear what is working in the field.

Photoshop Extended, AE, Shake, Motion and Combustion all have painting features that are good for this. CHV has a plugin for FCP. Photoshop’s painting features are probably most powerful, and the Extended version lets you paint in video frames.

I had a look at the CHV Clone plugin and also the Fxfactory Clone tool (which also works in motion) but unfortunately it is a simple shape based clone tool with no painting functionality.I am looking for a plugin that works within FCP and Motion that allows me to paint like the Clone Stamp tool in Photoshop or the brush tool in Avid DS. Having to go out to Shake or Photoshop my be my only option but I was hoping someone found a more elegant solution.
