Can someone explain (or agree) why Premiere can’t just put files it creates in one location instead of some in the Scratch Disk and some in the Media Cache folder. I come from an Avid background and it just makes sense to put all your media in one place.

I guess I could assign one location for both of those in my project setting and preferences. Is that what some of you all do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Yep you could.

I usually keep the project based stuff next to the project and move the media cache to a single cache folder so it’s easy to empty out. Also the media cache goes to the system disk by default which is dumb.
