  • SCENES, SLATES and TAKES – FILTER EFFECT

    Hi CC FCP,

I need to make DVD’s with SCENE, SLATE and TAKE numbers burnt in.

Making a feature film…. I am digitising with BITC (burnt in time code (SD downconverted from HDCAM))

I then select my takes and make subclips with SCENE, SLATE and TAKE info eg: SCENE084_SLATE123 and TAKE14

Now I want to intercut the takes. This means a TEXT title overlay is unsuitable. I need TEXT as a FILTER EFFECT. I could use the TC filter but I already have BITC.

Has anyone seen a filter like this?

    Thanks – drPETE

What would be really good is a Text Filter which simply overlays (burns in) the name of the subclip. As this has already been given the scene, slate and take info. Would save typing it all in again!
