November 22, 2007 at 4:51 pmwell,
independent of clip/compression….
mainly uncompressed 8bits, (not dv – if you mean clip detection at capturing)i have ready-made edits that i have to work over, speed them up etc.
so it would be nice to have it analyzed and edited,
and no, i don’t have a original EDL of the movie…i saw this detection on a DaVinci CC system – just thought
it can’t be too hard to achieve..thanx

November 22, 2007 at 6:41 pmThere are logging programs like “Executive Producer” that have scene detection features built in.
To my knowledge there’s nothing like that in FCP.

November 23, 2007 at 10:28 amThere is an external application, that works with FCP quite nice over XML. (But also with EDL to other apps)
It’s called Recut. Download a free demo fromhttps://www.videotoolshed.com/?page=products&pID=13
It should do exactly what you want.
Any questions, mail me direct if you like (as i’m the developer 🙂Bouke
