    Hi,

I did a scene cut detection split of a a file and applied the color corrections.
Now the file got lost (deleted from the HD).
How would you deal with this?

Can I export a new file, and have Resolve to reference this instead of the old one?

If you make a file with the same specs, flie name and such Resolve should just be fine and read that one.
If not you still might be able to do a ColorTrace if the TC is the same.
I tend to save out an EDL and apply that to a source file, i never use Clip to mediapool as this kills the option to fade from one grading to another.

That would seem to be the wiser methodology — the clip approach even makes it impossible to slip an event if the marker is wrong by a frame.
