Scary Error Message!!!
I launch Avid MC 7.0 to open a project I’ve been working on for the last two weeks.
I get a message “Invalid File Name,” and AVID crashes.I shut everything down and restart my computer.
Same message.Not a good way to start monday morning.
Anyone have an idea!!!??

Does it crash during launch or when trying to open the project?
if the former, do an unisntall/reinstall
if the latter, does another or new project work?Michael

Ahh…just found the problem after a little googling.
apparently it’s often caused by a “/” or other “illegal” character.Turns out it was a music CD I had in my drive with a slash.
Ejected the CD and all’s well.Thanks!!

Maybe turning off “automount” in AMA setting might help avoid that in the future as well. Just guessing.
