SCANNING NOISE ISSUES
I am currently working with a project that is using small moves in after effects 6.5 with scans I have made from yearbooks. I am posting because my problem is that when I animate these moves I am getting a wierd matrixing or transparent dots that move as the image gets bigger or smaller. I think it may be something with the dpi or interlacing but I scanned all the images at 600 dpi and the sequence is 640 480 ntsc. Is there a setting or filter I should be using? How the heck do I fix this. Much thanks.

Scaling down to the actual needed size often helps a lot,
Lots think; the higher the resolution of my scan, the better… WrongThe closest the resolution of the scan to the actual screen resolution the better.
