    Dear All,

I’m in a sort of crisis. I have footage that was shot on SD and HD, and we’re putting it in a new HD 1920 x 1080 sequence. because some of the footage was letterboxed and other was 4:3 and photo jpeg files, there’s a lot of “collage” work. So this is what we did to compensate for the 4:3 to 16:9 space for offline edit in a SD workspace (720 x 480) — we made a matte (on our own) that corresponded with the blacks of the 16:9 HD downconverted footage.

Now I have all the raw footage, and I am going to do an online of the entire project. I need to do a batch scaling so that all the SD footage and the photo jpeg files will look fine on the 1920 space. The problem is that I can’t do the Scale to sequence function because now it’s going to be pillarboxed w/ the matte. I need to do it on my own.

This is a very simple thing, I would suppose — to do a tailored scale for multiple clips at one go. How can I do this without nesting the sequence. I wouldn’t want to nest the entire sequence cause I need to redig the HD footage.

    Crazy project.

    thanks,
    liil
