Hello, I got a .mov-file from a guy that has been exporting it wrong. it should be 16:9 dv pal, but there some letterboxing or whatever you call it, so that I need to scale it.

there is also these big stripes, like very big interlcing-progblems.

Is there anyway I remove these big “interlacing-stripes”
It’s not just to have it correct in the “interpret footage”

I can use After effects, premiere or sony vegas, whatever works…

    thanks for any help,

    -Kenneth =)

Can you post a still image of the problematic footage? If you can show the footage info in the project panel and the interpretation that would be a bonus 🙂

hmm, seems like he rescaled it without deinterlacing it first.
if that is how he encoded the video then there’s not much you can do i think.
supposing you could get rid of it then your result would be far to blury anyway.

strange… it should not be that hard to move half of the picture 20 pixels to one of the sides…

But I have talked to the guy now (he blocked me on MSN yesterday..)so I will get it on tape, and all sorrows will be gone..

    thanks for your help anyway.

Still, if anybody has got a solution, I’m sure I will encounter this problem again in my life…
