    Hello,

So I am cutting a piece with some stills, and some created freeze frames in my FCP project. I am adding a simple “zoom” by increasing the image’s size and adding keyframes (like 100 to 120, with keyframes in the motion tap). All of this is in FCP.

Now, when I add a transition (cross dissolve) to the the clip I notice when I playback from the timeline it’s kinda jagged while it does the dissolve. Is this just what it does in FCP? Will it be smooth over the transitions when I lay this off to tape? IS there something I should make sure is off, like frame blending?

    thanks for your time!

You need to render the dissolves, and you have to make certain that all of the render options are checked, including “Full” in the render dropdown menu before you render.
