scaling problem
hi,
I am a new user. I have FCP 4.5 Aja Kona2 capture card. I work with uncompress 8 bit Pal video. When I scale down my video in the motion tab it looks very dirty. And this is not a quality problem. Because all the settings are high quality. And it’s not about the capture card. A friend of mine uses Declink card have the same problem.I think this is a field problem. In Item properties my video’s field dominance seems “not set” What must I do to maintane quality ?

Is there a red bar above the clip in the timeline?(meaning it needs to be rendered)

no, bar is gray. Problem is not about video or render quality

Does it lie on a whole, even number on the X,Y axis?
Did you render with the FULL quality bar checked in your sequence>render menus?
Are you checking your render on a bonafide pro video monitor?You need to do all of these things, then post back.
