I’m trying to do split screens using both video and stills in FCP X. I want to use a grid with nine (sometimes more) small rectangles dividing up the screen. The videos and stills are sharp at full size, but when reduced are blurry.

I use FCP scale sliders to reduce the videos and I also have software called Screen Splitter from FCP Effects, but they both result in blurry images when reduced.

How do I keep video and photos sharp at reduced sizes?

    Thanks, Ron

BTW: The image is blurry even after exporting as a Quicktime movie.

I have also made photo files in Photoshop that are 1/4 of the pixel height and width of the project–but when imported into FCP and scaled to 1/4 the screen size, they are still fuzzy.
