    Hi there,

I’m a bit of a novice, so sorry if this is obvious.

I have a very simple sentence which i am animating on screen – each letter fades up and grows before settling back down slightly in size. I can do this easily enough using 3 animators. But now i want to pick out one word and make it grow more than the others to give it more emphasis but I am getting confused as to how to do it.

    Please help 🙂

You can use another text animator for scale, then in the advanced settings for that animator, set ‘based on’ from ‘character’ to ‘words’. I would also set the ‘units’ property (just above ‘based on’) from ‘percentage’ to ‘index’ to make it easier to find the word that you want to affect. Ex: your text is 6 words and you want to scale the 4th word, with ‘index’ selected you would just change the range selector ‘start’ property to 3 and the ‘end’ property to 4 to isolate the 4th word. with percentages you would need to calculate the values for the start and end properties…

Thanks so much for that, it worked perfectly.
