  • Scaling copy bug

Posted by Oliver Peters on November 11, 2017 at 10:46 pm

I frequently use oversized clips in my sequences, like 4K shots inside 1080 timelines. I normally use “set to frame size” when I edit, so a 4K clip has a 50% value. If I need to punch in, then the scale might change to 75% with a slight X/Y position offset. When I copy-and-paste clips between sequences, this type of sizing information is lost. Generally position information is retained, but the scale value is wrong. Are others seeing this bug? It’s been there for several CC versions. Any suggestions?

Do you mean when you make perform the paste function? I know you mean in general, but would it work if only off when you paste?

I have the same problem and it ‘s quite an annoyance. If the solution is to turn off auto set to frame size that’s great but where is that setting now in Premiere?

If the setting is turned off, paste works correctly.
If it is on, motion settings don’t get included in pastes.
