    Hi all

    I am new here

I recently rigged a character in AE, but set the overall size for the character too large (thinking it would be easy to scale it later)

There are lots of nulls and parenting and a bit of expressions

I tried parenting everything to scale null controller, but it screws up the scale (due to the IK set up)

    anyone have any workarounds?

    I had 2 –

    1. I was woking in 720p – i have tried making it 1080p instead – then once the animation is done, i could scale down later. This looks ok, but there will be at least one other character and BG scenery to come in

    or

    2. just scale it correctly and rerig

    anyone else had this issue?

a bit late with my answer, I was looking for myself how to simple scale down my character without precomposing it first. So maybe it’s userfull for somebody else who is using google like me.

I parented my arms/legs/body etc to one main controller null object. And that one I can scale down without screwing up my puppetmask etc.
