December 7, 2007 at 9:26 pmFor DVD you want to use 720 x 480 (I believe) and set this in the Project Settings dialog.
When saving output, if you really want to save an AVI, use a lossless codec like Huffy UV or Lagarith for perfect (lossless) quality. Or save as a TGA or PNG image sequence.
I believe what you’re describing is compression problems in the output, not the output resolution.

December 10, 2007 at 10:31 amI also have a question about the new feature, it looks to me that the emitters are not scaled to the new outzput size i choose. is there a way i can scale them automatically?

December 10, 2007 at 1:13 pmThey ARE scaled (otherwise what’s the point of this feature). If you have an example that appears not to work correctly, please send it to me IMMEDIATELY, as we’re about to release the 3.0.3 update.

December 14, 2007 at 1:43 pmYou have to scale up to 1920 x 1440 (or whatever), then use the Project Settings to decrease the height (crops off the top and bottom). Or scale up to ____ x 1080, then use Project Settings to increase the width to 1920 (adds to the sides).
