    Hello to all:

The new feature of PIllusion 3.0.2
    scale project

    can anyone please help me
    with any guidelines
    what values I should
    put if I want my
    project to render in
    a good resolution output
    for video.

I want to use my project for some
dvd menus but kept making it so
low resolution…I want it crisp and clear..

    thanks

For DVD you want to use 720 x 480 (I believe) and set this in the Project Settings dialog.

When saving output, if you really want to save an AVI, use a lossless codec like Huffy UV or Lagarith for perfect (lossless) quality. Or save as a TGA or PNG image sequence.

I believe what you’re describing is compression problems in the output, not the output resolution.

I also have a question about the new feature, it looks to me that the emitters are not scaled to the new outzput size i choose. is there a way i can scale them automatically?

They ARE scaled (otherwise what’s the point of this feature). If you have an example that appears not to work correctly, please send it to me IMMEDIATELY, as we’re about to release the 3.0.3 update.

You have to scale up to 1920 x 1440 (or whatever), then use the Project Settings to decrease the height (crops off the top and bottom). Or scale up to ____ x 1080, then use Project Settings to increase the width to 1920 (adds to the sides).
