Scale & Position Will Not Keyframe
I am working on a project for a client and they have now requested that part of it be made to go full screen. The footage in question is a time-mapped nested sequence. For some reason it will not let me set key-frames to change the positions or scale. It will only let me change it across the entire project.

So you have a sequence as a layer in a timeline…and that layer is time mapped?
they want the footage to go full screen or the whole nest to go full screen?

I need to scale up the nested sequence from 70% to about 80% and then back to 70%.
See Screenshot above. I need to make the Slide on the right bigger to fill the frame and also change position. I can fade out the presenter no problem.

Are you sure you hit the keyframe stop watch icon to begin the animation of the properties? Consecutive changes to that property will auto-create a keyframe.
1st to set as “we have this property from prior to this point” the 2nd keyframe will apply itself and be the “I will now be this value, a 3rd keyframe would act as a “kept value to this point” then the 4th is the final value destination.

It is ok. I know from past experience myself never assume anything.
I have another screenshot just to show the keyframes in place. Notice how the number is larger than the original 70% but on screen the slide is the same size.
It should be one of the simplest things to do but for some reason it is being a nightmare.

Perhaps this is indeed a bug. Have you tried to nest the time mapped clip? Perhaps even cut the section you want to affect and nest that section only, then apply the scale position animation?

Yes I have tried to nest the time mapped sequence. I have also rendered out the sequence and imported as a MOV and still the same thing.
I will try cutting out the bits I need to change settings for and see if that works.

ok this makes no sense.
You rendered out a clip, reimported it and you can’t scale/repo that one?

I have however come with a solution.
First I timemap the slide sequence then for the bits I want to scale up I cut those bits using the razor tool then I nest that part and apply scale and position keyframes.
Still can not figure out why it would not work any other way.
