scale imported image – missing portions
Hi guys – I know there’s a simple way to fix this; have seen it in a cow tutorial but am blowed if I can find which one… If I import & place an image or video which is larger than my comp size, then scale it down in the comp layer, the image appears clipped (ie AE is not showing the extra pixel data that exists outside the dimensions of the comp boundaries). I am s-l-o-w-l-y going insane – pls help or send drugs!

I can’t replicate your problem.
I’ll visit you in the sanitarium, if you like, but I have no help.
What version of AE are you on? Have you looked at Edit>Preferences>Import, any luck there?

thanks for your prompt reply – the ambulance just arrived so will have to be brief. I’m using CS3 Windows version; will try to post a project file with my problem on it when the nice doctors have left
