November 9, 2010 at 4:37 pmThis happens to me once in awhile too.
My solution is to save it under a new name (eg. Trailer-2.veg). -

November 9, 2010 at 4:56 pmHi Mike,
Funny, I found this out this morning after doing a few tests, I re-saved it as trailer2 and it worked just fine.
So if you ever see this error pop up, click save as and re-name your file, or you’ll be like me, time traveling back to the beginning.
Thanks Mike!

November 9, 2010 at 5:02 pmKristopher, I’m glad to hear that you solved it.
I’m sure there’s a reason as to why this happens but I’ve never been able to find the answer. -

November 10, 2010 at 6:52 amThis kind of error can happen of the program can’t create the target file. It’s in use by another program (or another instance of Vegas in this case), or locked by another program.

For people still looking for a solution to this issue, I made it work by simply rendering my work with a NEW NAME and then if you use the same name to save the veg file.
Hope it’ll work for you.
