I’m trying to save a text template I made with drop shadow, but anytime I save it as a favorite effect nothing from the motion properties tab is saved. Is there a way to save motion properties along with your effects presets?

Just save the text file with all it’s effects and motion tab settings as a clip in your browser. Then edit this clip in as needed, and modify the text or whatever once a new instance of it is in the sequence. Once you place it in the sequence, you can modify this copy and leave the original intact for use again.
