I did a wedding a couple months ago. Now I have been asked if I can get some pictures from the video, because the photographer had some corrupted files. I told them I could, and have pulled them from the video. Only thing is that there is some pixelation on all the edges of subjects in the pics. Is there a way to make them look exactly the way they would if they were an actual digital photograph?

Like anything there is a couple ways to do everything in a NLE system. In Vegas (in I believe all versions) there is a button next to the preview mode tab for still image capturing. Set your preview to best and scroll the the footage slowly looking for good shots. Then press the capture key to store the file on your hard drive.

Yes, it is important to set the preview window to BEST and FULL.

You should also turn off interlace. However, even the best video cameras do not have the resolution of still cameras. Captured images are limited in the ability to crop and resize if you want to avoid pixelation.

Or simply use Fraps it records video and captures screen shots, gamers use it often.
