Saving files in Photoshop for FCP
I have some Illustrator/ vector files that I am working on in Photoshop with transparent backgrounds for work in Final Cut Pro.
I need to clarify what size should I save the files as and with which specifications when the final output will be for online play, QuickTime?
It is a trailer video for an iPhone game and I have been saving them as W480 H320. Is there some way for me to set the FCP for this output when starting the project or even in Photoshop there are some options to choose for FCP but they are all related to NTSC, PAL etc which I think in this case is to not relevant .. -

What are you going to do with the photoshop files in FCP?
you can import a psd file into fcp, if you have layers in the psd it turns out as video layers in a sequence in Fcp. Merge visible if you like it to pop up like a clip.You can use tga or any other file you can save with an alpha.
Make sure you don’t use cmyc color space – Fcp don’t like it.
A nice rule is to have your stills 4x size of timeline. Handy if you zoom or resize in fcp.When it comes to pixel aspect ratio:

Thank you, I have been saving files with PNG format, I am using them as overlays with transparent parts. I guess I can also try TNG.
Actually I have completed one video and need to work on the second one. It is just that that I would like to get the highest quality and do it as a pro !
