Saving Control-Panel Settings?
Howdy,
I’ve got a seemingly simple problem. I’m getting some burn-in in my not-even-a-year-old Panasonic plasma monitor, because my default-video-output from my Kona 3 card keeps defaulting to “Color Bars”. So whenever I click away from Final Cut, to enter Compressor, or Photoshop, or (god forbid) check my email, the card shoots bars out to my monitors.
Here’s my problem: when I try to change the default-video-output under the “Control” tab on the Kona 3 Control Panel, it doesn’t “stick”. It’ll stay that way throughout the workday, but not after a restart or (god forbid) a system crash. It always resets to “Color Bars” on restart.
Secondarily, I tried to save a “Preset”, and nothing seems to happen. The manual claims that presets should show up under the “Presets” menu, but there’s nothing there. Further, when I attempt to save my preset, it doesn’t seem to give me any path options, or folder-creation options, or anything. “Nothing” is basically what seems to happen.
Am I missing something incredibly obvious? Is my system haunted? Thanks.
Steve
