I’m using titles to display the names of different people, and it has a transition on either end. I have been creating it once, then copying it, and using it for each person. If I have to copy and paste something else, then I have to go find the title again, and copy it. Is there a way to save the title with the transitions in my favorites on the effects panel?

When you do something right, no one will know you’ve done anything at all.

Not with the transitions, no. You might save it in its own sequence so it’s a quicker to get to than scrubbing about in your timeline and losing your position.

I believe that you should be able to just drag your title clip right from the timeline and into a bin. All of the attributes on the clip should stay with the clip. Just use it like any other clip after that. I don’t believe that the transitions can be saves this way though. FCP isn’t running right now, so I can’t check to be sure.

He wants to copy and paste the transitions with it. You can’t take the transitions when you drag o the browser.

alternatively you could nest the title and copy/duplicate it (and rename) for each time you need to put new text in timeline.

Place them in the timeline and edit the text for each one.. that way it doesn’t cost you anything and if you get a tpyo just edit the text in the nest.

    Hope that’s correct and helpful.

Furthermore the nesting is a good solution when your title is multilayer, such as with a logo, a graphic backplate or additional type layers.
