    Hello All,

I have an ae file rendered as an animation quicktime at 720×480. Will this translate well to the big screen? Or is there a better way to render for such a large format?

    Thank you!

What do you mean when you say “big screen?” Movie theater? High definition television? Projector?

If you mean movie theater screens, the frame size for that is 2048×1536 (otherwise known as 2K). You can have standard definition sized video blown up to 35mm negative, but it is expensive.

You won’t be able to do much in the render, with After Effects everything depends on how large you built the project to begin with. If you built your project at 720×480, rendering out to a larger size is a waste of time since it will suffer quality loss.
