Hello everyone. I’m a student, and I’ve finally saved up some money for an upgrade to my pc, the problem is, that I don’t quite know what I should upgrade.

I’ve read that everything from a new graphic card, more ram or a faster HDD will increase performance.

Here are the specifications for my pc at the moment:
    I7 4820K 3,7 GHz
    Nvidia GeForce GTX 770
Some random ram blocks (Which I know is a pretty bad idea) – 14 GB ram, locked to lowest speed at 667 Mhz
Samsung EVO 840 SSD for Premiere, After Effects and Windows
Old samsung 1 TB HD 7200 rpm for the videos (7 years old and is about to break, and I probably should replace it no matter what)

I’ve been using Premiere for 1,5 years and I’m beginning to step my toes into After Effects, the problem is when I use After Effects, sometimes a pop-up appears and says that there is not enough memory, and Windows closed it.

So what is more effective? More CUDA cores? Some stable ram? A faster HDD?

    Thanks 🙂

Sort your RAM out is my suggestion.

Thanks for the reply. I will get some stable ram as soon as I can. Thanks again.
