I’m aware that it’s possible to save a trimmed copy copy of all the media used in the project. I think that this option is only displayed if you use the ‘save as command in conjunction with giving the project a different name from what is currently on the timeline. If this is correct do you get all of these clips loaded into a new folder that you created? If you have used nested veg files do they all get included as well?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, it copies all media from anywhere on your hard drives into a single folder. This is great for archiving a project although it’s better to keep everything in a single folder from the start.

BTW, it doesn’t trim Long GOP media files that use Interframe compression (which is pretty much every video file these days). It only trims files that use Intraframe like DV and CineForm.

If you are using Vegas Pro 13.0 the answer is yes. This is a new feature in 13.0. If you are using Vegas Pro 12.0 or earlier the answer is no it will not. I have a tool in VASST Ultimate S Pro that will save nested projects for older versions of Vegas Pro.
